How to Forward SMS to Discord

Forward text messages to Discord channels via webhooks.

Introduction

Keep your Discord community or team updated by automatically forwarding SMS messages to any Discord channel using webhooks.

Step 1: Create a Discord Webhook

1. Open Discord and go to the channel where you want messages
2. Click the gear icon to open Channel Settings
3. Go to Integrations → Webhooks
4. Click New Webhook
5. Name it “SMS Forwarder” and click Copy Webhook URL

Step 2: Add to SMS Forwarder

1. Open the SMS Forwarder app
2. Tap Add Destination
3. Select Discord
4. Paste the Webhook URL
5. Tap Save

Step 3: Verify

Send yourself a test SMS and confirm it appears in the Discord channel.

Advanced Tips

• Thread organization: Messages appear as individual posts in the channel.
• Multiple servers: Create webhooks in different servers to forward to multiple Discord communities.
• Keyword filtering: Only forward messages containing specific keywords.

Troubleshooting

• No messages showing? Verify the webhook URL hasn’t been regenerated or deleted.
• Webhook deleted? Create a new one and update the URL in the app.
• Permission errors? Ensure the webhook has permission to post in the channel.
