How to Forward SMS to WhatsApp

Auto-forward text messages to WhatsApp conversations.

Introduction

Forward your SMS messages to WhatsApp so you can read them alongside your other chats. SMS Forwarder sends messages to a WhatsApp number via the WhatsApp API.

Step 1: Get Your WhatsApp Number

Note the phone number associated with the WhatsApp account where you want to receive forwarded messages. Include the country code (e.g., +1 for US).

Step 2: Add to SMS Forwarder

Open the SMS Forwarder app
Tap Add Destination
Select WhatsApp
Enter the phone number with country code
Tap Save

Step 3: Authorize

Follow the in-app prompts to authorize the connection. You may need to confirm the link on your WhatsApp device.

Advanced Tips

Group forwarding: You can forward messages to WhatsApp groups by configuring the group settings.
Selective forwarding: Use sender-based rules to only forward messages from specific contacts.
International numbers: WhatsApp works with any international phone number.

Troubleshooting

Messages not arriving? Verify the phone number format includes the country code.
